La Arena is Famous for its beautiful pottery.

The pottery is baked in traditional pottery ovens.  This one was in the back yard connecting 3 or 4 different pottery workshops and there were 4 ovens scattered around the area.

But where has all the Rum gone?

This is one of the storerooms of the Seco Herrano Farm

The smell from all of these barrels of rum was so strong, it would knock you down from outside the storeroom.

The rows and rows of stacked barrels were screaming "Climb me! Climb me!"

An FSU tradition with a Panamanian twist

This post requires more than 1 picture...

Sara was fated to swim in the fountain on her birthday as a Nole

But we couldn't find a fountain and the Canal was too deep.

Gracie thought she could get away but Birthday Girl #2 had no chance.

As revenge, Sara ducktaped us all together and we all fell in. Who knew a piscinita would be more dangerous than the Westcott fountain?

Never trust these two. Ever. Unless you are helping them prank someone else.

Esta es la isla Taboga. It's a small town on an island 12 miles from Panama city.

This is supposedly the second oldest church in the hemisphere. Isn't it pretty?

San Blas

This is the rustic little hut I slept in over the weekend. I fell asleep and woke up to the wonderful sound of waves on the shore

Yep. I spent two days on a beautiful little ISLAND on the Caribbean Sea.  This is Kuanidup at sunset

Quite a few of us have tried to expand our cooking skills and tastes to local varieties.

Carolyn couldn't help putting an American twist on our food though. Yes, that is Peanut Butter and Jelly.
